My face... Sort of :D

To start off I would like to say that no my face doesn't really like this. In real life my eyes are generally the same color, my nose doesn't look like a deformed mushroom, and I'm not that fair skinned. So this is my interpretation of my face in a cartoon land. In this land not much makes sense, but you don't care because it's just so darn awesome.
I hope you enjoy

Color Wheel

For this Project Jamie and I took many pictures of stairs up in the WAHS bleachers. We then arranged them in a pleasing manner and added many fun colors. :D

Special Chair

For this photo i was given a plane boring chair that i was supposed to spiff up. To make it better i added a very cool shadow and beach scape to my chair. :)

Abstract Painting

For this abstract painting I tried to keep it very simple and lightly plain. I used a variety of colors but kept the brush work to a minimum.

Flower By Four

for this four by four I took a simple, yet beautiful, flower and added some awesome filters to each of the flowers. I used a simple but definitive black grid to separate the flowers. I hope you enjoy.

Midterm in NYC

This is the photo project that I chose to do for our class's Midterm!!! :) The photos I chose to use were some of the photos that I took while on my band field trip to New York City. The pictures I used consist of a street scene, a large bridge, a man walking next to and awesome wall, and another awesome wall. to create some balance in the picture I decided to make five squares different solid/mixed colors. I also spread these squares fairly evenly throughout the scene. I used a large variety of filter that could be found in almost every kind of filter category. For the Large "New York City" lettering I produced some text and then proceeded to cut the image from my kaleidoscope picture of New York, giving it a cool and fun pattern. I had fun with this project and would suggest it for next years Digital Imaging class. I hope you enjoy!:D

Pixlr Chameleon

This is a Chameleon which Jamie and I edited on Pixlr. This program was very unhelpful. the amount of time it took to load a single photo on to the site could have been used making a great image. the tools were very similar to photoshop but lacked the viriety. it did come with some filters and adjustments but it took so long for them to activate that we became very annoyed with it. the biggest problem with this program is that it lacks probably the most helpful tool. The Move Tool. Once you have put a picture into this program you CANNOT move it. this makes it so difficult to resize and manipulate your photo. out of all of the tools we would have found this one to be essential that should have been added. the pictures are also of very low quality. without being on the desktop this photo only took up a fraction of a megabyte but when it was on the desktop it took almost seven. we think they should have found a better way of measuring a photo's file size. we would suggest it only on lower quality projects that have little going on.

Eye Phone

This is my take on the i phone, which is now the Eye Phone.

Lead Zeppelin

This is my interpretation of Lead Zeppelin. Pb is the symbol/ lettering for lead on the periodic table of elements.

My Koala Can Eats your Fruitz

For this project our class was told to take a picture of an object and replace that object with a different filling. I chose to take a koala and replace it with a picture of fruit. The picture of the Koala was nice but i felt it was missing color. i also added some fun words and slight jokes to add to the picture personality.

Myself in silhouette form

For this photo i tried to add fun and interesting things about myself to my silhouette. The saxophone shows both my love for music and my love for the saxophone. I'm a Mac person and generally can't stand PCs, so I took an old apple logo and spiced it up with the art history tool. Up top there is Platypus which depicts both my love for the Platypus and the great continent/country that it lives in. The numbers 311 happen to the name of one of my favorite bands, so I used them. i also have a great love for peace which is why you can see it used on my left shoulder.

Eat Mor Zebrah

Jamie and I worked together to create a zebra with several body parts from other animals. The zebra is angry at the cow standing in front of a sign reading, Eat mor zebrah, which we made up using the common slogan, eat more chicken. To put together this funny zebra, we used a zebra body and cut off the tail and the head, and replaced them with a squirrel tail and an ostrich head. For the cool hair, we found a picture of Glenn Plake's hair, and adjusted it to fit the ostrich head. We played with the colors of some stripes on the zebra and added a stork on the back of the zebra. Then we added a big strong arm on the zebra to give the aspect of anger towards the cow we later put in. Using Photoshop painting tools tools we created a sign and a pole for the sign, and used the paint brush tool for the writing on the sign.

My 15 Green Things

For this class assignment i was given 15 pictures, all of which were tinted green, and told to make them into one picture. I thought that looking at a picture entirely made of green would be REALLY boring, so I tried adding different colors and textures to the photos using my newly found Photoshop abilities. I found inspiration from some of the wall paintings that I have seen in Crozet and Charlottesville. I thought that the archway would be a perfect place to apply the wall painting look. I find that I did rather well for a novice photoshop user and would have not changed much.
